Sr. Jazz Band is a one semester course. It’s time to swing and groove! Students will learn instrumental Jazz through the performance of ‘Big Band’ arrangements of a variety of jazz styles including swing, funk, Latin and ballads. Students are encouraged to listen to recordings, copy the great players and ultimately develop their reading and improvising ‘chops’ on their instrument. We will dig deep into some Jazz theory as well. Some high‐energy music will be heard during this class!
